SPAM is the abuse of electronic messaging systems, and it takes many forms from instant messaging spam, Usenet newsgroup spam, Web search engine spam, spam in blogs, wiki spam, mobile phone messaging spam, to Internet forum spam and junk fax transmissions. Spamming is one of today's greatest problems on the Internet, along spyware, viruses, trojans and phishing.
You get spam in your mailbox, you get spam on your Instant Messaging Client, you get spam on your blog (lots of it), you get spam on your forums, you get spam on your video comments, spam is everywhere, and it has to be stopped.
There are many types of spam on websites. The types of spam we've seen and filtered are pornographic ones (usually on forums along with pictures, or on blogs as links to adult websites), drug spam (everywhere, usually involves viagra, valium and other well-known products), money spam (the ones with "you won 1 million dollars"), link spam (short messages like "yes, i see your point" along with a link to the spammer's website) and purely stupid spam (very hard to catch spam that looks like: "xkkwqkuavxawekyorhwqcxs").
