Piry ANTISPAM is a series of techniques and filters that combined with your application makes spam dissapear. We've separated these techniques into 3 levels, according to the amount of work we have to do to have the system ready and what does a website need.
Website spam uses forms to spread or sends the request directly to the file that inserts the message into the database. That's where we decided to make a move, that's where our ANTISPAM should be.

Any message that isn't sent from the form that should be used for a normal posting is detected by Piry ANTISPAM,automatically rejected and placed into the filters. Also, any message sent from the form is checked very fast for keywords, ip, email and website to make sure it's not a human posting spam.
Antispam

ANTISPAM is not a 100% guaranteed spam-stopper, because new ways of spamming appear everyday and it takes a short while to find out and add to the system, but it should reduce the spam by at least 90%, and keep your websites a lot more cleaner. If spam was sent only by robots, ANTISPAM would have achieved the 100% mark, but unfortunately humans also stay and type in spam comments manually, making it very hard to figure out which is spam and which is a casual message.

Piry ANTISPAM Level 3 has a new feature in it's system that makes it capable of figuring out new spam message types, based on the number of posts, ip, lenght, words used, nickname, email, and javascript or html code. That is very useful when we're dealing with human spammers, but unfortunately these features are not very used, because the ANTISPAM Level 1 is the most popular of the three packages.

The ANTISPAM system did keep all the small and medium websites that use it's code spam-free for over six months and on a large website for a couple of weeks, which means it does work and it does protect websites from spammers. Unfortunately for now it's not a free and easy to install script, because it's made for ANY website, and it does need human tinkering, but we're hoping to find a way in the near future to release it as a plugin or as an extension to the most popular blog and forum scripts, and still keep it's current performance. Maybe we'll even start thinking about an email antispam.
